Children
Oakland Baptist is blessed by having the coolest kids in the world! Your children will love to be part of this awesome ministry. One of our goals is to have a meaningful ministry for your kids every time our church doors are open. Our desire is to provide a safe learning environment for your kids. All of our children’s workers have been screened to help provide security for you, the parent. We know that you will agree, our OBC kids are the best. Thanks for helping make it that way!
- Sunday Mornings @ 9:30 — On Sunday mornings we have age graded Sunday School classes for all children. Our teachers are eager to meet and greet your kids. Your children will learn Old and New Testament stories and will be reminded of the great love Christ has for them.
- Children’s Church — Each weekly worship service features a children’s sermon. Following the children’s sermon,the kids are released to go to Children’s Church. Children’s Church is held in the Fellowship Hall and allows for your kids to be ministered to in an exciting and engaging way. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn more about God and Biblical principles.
- Sunday Nights @ 6:00 – On Sunday evenings our children learn about missions on the local, state, national, and foreign levels. There’s also a few Sunday nights when the children will be able to participate in some local mission opportunities.
- Wednesday Nights @ 6:00 — From September through April on Wednesday nights, the children of OBC enjoy Awana. Awana is an exciting, engaging ministry that helps children (up to sixth grade) learn and memorize scripture. Oakland is one of the thousands of churches being blessed by this ministry. A team of adult workers leads this ministry for our kids.
- Wednesday Nights @ 6:30 (summer) — During May, June, July, and August, various groups lead the children in grades 1st – 6th in various activities and Bible lessons. It’s high energy and sure to excite your kids.
