Mark Quigley, Associate Pastor

G’Day Mates and Sheilas! I don’t have the Southern lingo down so I thought I’d use some Aussie language from my “Quigley Down Under” movie (great movie – watch it sometime).

I’m so excited to be the Associate Pastor here at Oakland Baptist Church! I started in December 2008 and everyone has made me feel as though I’ve been here for years. I can’t say enough about the family atmosphere here at the church.

I’m originally from Rochester, NY, but I haven’t called anywhere home for a while. I spent a little over 20 years serving our country in the Air Force and that took us many different and exciting places. I’ve been a senior pastor in South Carolina and have served in many other churches over the years.

My beautiful wife, Patty, and I were high school sweethearts – she stole my heart and I’ve never seriously dated any other. God has blessed us with over 27 years of marriage and because of Him, we love each other more right now than we ever have. We have 3 beautiful daughters: Heather, who is married to Tim and lives in St. Louis, Stephanie, who is a police officer in Sevierville, TN, and Amy, who just graduated college. We also have our pride and joy – granddaughter Jackie, born in October 2008.

God has many new and exciting things in store for Oakland Baptist Church, and we’re so glad to be a part of it. I encourage you to come and see what God is doing!
