youth1[1]Middle and high school students are a vital and vibrant part of the OBC family. We understand that the teenage years are a pivotal time of life in many ways, and it’s our goal to provide and sustain a relevant Biblical foundation during this phase of change. There are three weekly opportunities for students in grades 7-12 to explore Biblical truths and build strong relationships with their peers:

  • Sundays @ 9:30AM – It’s definitely early, but that doesn’t stop anyone from getting the day started with a dose of God’s Word in a laid back, low-key atmosphere.
  • Sundays @ 5:30PM — Each Sunday night meeting starts off with a free meal made by one of Oakland’s members. After a quick game to burn off some of the food, students dive in to God’s word with discussions led by our Youth Pastor, Jason Hale.
  • Wednesdays @ 6:30PM — On Wednesdays, we offer two different groups for the junior high students and senior high students to discuss issues that are affecting them in their respective age groups. Things typically start off with a game or two to get everyone up and going.

In addition to these weekly opportunities, there is typically an off-campus trip or two every month. Such events are announced in advance to give you as parents ample time to make any necessary changes in plans.
